How Dogo works

How payment works, precisely

No cash changes hands. Here is exactly what happens to your money and when.

   You send a request

   Nothing is charged. The sitter accepts or declines — unless they have instant book enabled, in which case it is confirmed straight away.

2. 2

   You pay the platform

   The price you see is the price you pay: the sitter's price for the service you picked, plus any extra-dog or holiday charges shown in the breakdown. Dogo adds no booking fee for owners.

3. 3

   The money is held

   The sitter is not paid yet. Your payment sits with the platform for the whole booking.

4. 4

   The service happens

   The sitter marks the start, sends updates and completes a care report at the end.

5. 5

   Both of you confirm the return

   Only after the sitter marks the dog as returned and you confirm you have your dog back is the sitter's balance credited.

6. 6

   The sitter withdraws

   They request a payout to a bank account in their own name. Dogo keeps 10% of the service value as commission; the rest is theirs.

Card details are handled by a licensed payment provider — Dogo never stores your full card number.
